An adventurer is born...

*SLAM*

As the door shut behind him, Rickard had made his mind up. His family simply would never understand his choice in paths. His need to create his own path, forge his own way, was lost upon them all. Their continued insistance of coddling and diminishing his decisions about his Way continued to haunt his every step. His family refused to allow him to do things, in his estimation and moral worldview, the Right Way. His forsaking his family lineage, forsaking the magic that defined them for his sword and helm would never be accepted by them.

So he had to forsake who he was.

He had been mulling the possible ways to accomplish this, and he came to his conclusion after this last run-in. They had been interfering with his attempts at reaching out to the world to make it a better place. At every turn they were there -- and their magic was with them. Their insistence on interfering and trying to "help" had only solidified his resolve that the decisions and path he had chosen were both the right and proper way to live his life.

He was going to make the world a better place, and he was going to do it on his terms.

This had started years ago, when he withdrew from his Spellcraft lessons and had begun taking weapons training. Rickard trained intensely and proficiently with any weapon he could get his hands on, eventually making a concious choice to not use magic. He soon settled on his beautiful sword -- Elven crafted, Swift Slice.

As Rickard put one step in front of the other, he knew he would have to give up his name, appearance, lineage, name and title.

He would be known as Endel, The Wanderer, and he would change the world.
